When you reach Level 15, you are able travel. You may have many questions such as; Where to travel and what to buy? What else you can do in other countries? Lets begin answering these questions, by starting not answering them at first but learning item carry limit :D
Travel Capacity
Limit of how many items you can carry from other countries in your travels. At start, by default you can only carry 5 items. By buying/renting Private Island with airstrip and pilots hired, you get 10 more extra, you also half the flight time. Buying large suitcase (worth around 10 million dollar) increases your limit by 4, so in total you can have 19 by yourself. There is more way to increase limit by Faction leader upgrading faction perks to Excursion adds 1 item per upgrade up to a maximum of 10 (which we have it).
Through jobs: Working in 3 star Lingerie store gives you additional carry limit. Working in Cruise Line Agency at 3 stars gives additional 2, at 7 stars gives another additional 3, total of 5 carry capacity limit. Working in 7 star Flower shop or 7 star Toy shop would give you 5 additional carry capacity of flowers or toys.
Tourism day on the 27th of September doubles carrying capacity. Book : Smuggling For Beginners, Increases travel items by 10 for 31 days.
So, to summarize and simplify;
Default of 5
Max faction travel upgrades +10
Buy airstrip and hire pilot in PI +10
Buy large suitcase +4
Total = 29 slots
Profit/How to make money from traveling?
I am using a travel planning website that automatically sets the current market prices, costs, profits, profits per hour and timers:

After creating Public Only API key from settings, you can start using that to;
- Setting Capacity to 1 so you can see how much paying, to selling and profiting from stuff.
- You can change travel method to see difference at travel time and profit per hour.
- Planning Preferences: Just set this to 01:00 to 00:00 so you can have 23 hours of planning time to calculate your plans.
- Filters; this is important so I will not summarize here and I will explain this furthermore at next sections.
- You can change max. cash per trip to plan your travels. For example, you may have 100k money and when your capacity limit is 15, you can see what you can buy. You can buy panda plushies, flowers and lion plushie. You cannot buy 15 camel plushie so planner wont show you BUT remember, you can buy 7 camel and buy flowers with rest of money to try to get max profit from your travel.

My Advice on Traveling
If you would please consult the graph, we can see that highest paying stuff is mostly away countries like China, UAE and South Africa. However they take 2,5 to 3 hours to go into. Then there is another 3 hours of return so you are not only wasting your nerves but also losing on energy if you checking Torn multiple times a day.
If you are free for day, Mexico is one of the best choices, if you are not and you look at Torn twice a day then I wouldnt oppose long time taking journeys. Personally I am doing Mexico when I am in my office or when I am at my home, sometimes from my phone. If I am busy for the day, I go to UAE or China.
Foreign country shops have items on stocks so sometimes they might be out of stocks too. It gets replenished randomly but if stocks depleted faster then restock time happens faster too. You can check stock of each countries from this website:

Extra Info About Travelling:
You can rehabilitate your drug addiction in Switzerland, maybe one of the most important thing in about traveling. Drug rehabilitation sessions costs 250k each time. With faction travel upgrades its discounts to 200k but more you do rehabs more expensive it gets in the future. What I do for rehab is; after I reach Switzerland, I set my rehab sessions to max-1 (1 less). Afterwards I buy flowers, plushies or whatever with leftover money then return Torn.
If you forgot to bring money or lacking for full rehab in Switzerland, you can ask in chat for a borrow or a banker to send you money.
I found Vault in Cayman island useless. Money can gain 0.5% per month but Torn Bank already gives better deals most time. Cayman's advantage is you able to place out and in money after you travel there but chances of getting mugged are higher (I mugged three times and all of it happened there) so its not a safe option in my eyes.
You can learn your real level and exp progression at China from fortune teller for a small price. Most of the time its extremely unnecessary and total waste of money but if you are level holding and curious about your real level, you can waste your money here.
You can hunt animals in South Africa, which gives you little to no money (sometimes loss) and Hunting skill but I think there are better ways to earn money, especially considering energy and nerve gets wasted while traveling. There is also honors/merits you can earn about hunting there but they are not easy to get. We (almost every single person in Torn) suggest doing hunting in Hunting day. You get 5 times more hunting EXP and chances of huge amounts of money.
